| Who may enter : Persons of any nationality and any age may enter. Open to both professionals and amateurs. Each entry must be the work of one person except for the ''Around the World with Quilt'' category. |

| Limit on entries : There is no limit on the number of entries per person. However, the same work cannot be submitted to more than one category. |

| Rules of entry : Entries must be works that have not been exhibited publicly or published previously. There is no limitation on materials or techniques in any category. If your entry is a work inspired by other designs or works, it is necessary to list all design sources. |

| Judging : First-stage judgment: Judging by photograph Second-stage judgment: Judging of actual quilts The first round of judging, which is based on photographs, will be conducted in the middle of February 2005. All entrants will receive notification of results immediately. Please send your quilts by the deadline if they are accepted. Second-stage judgment will be conducted with the actual quilts. (Judges) Entries will be judged by famous artists and quilt professionals with fair consideration of all contributing elements, including appropriation to the theme, design, technique, and originality. |

Please pay for shipping of your quilt to the WQC secretariat. International entrants may pay only by credit card. *Each quilt will be insured against loss for a maximum of JPY100,000. Entrants who wish for a higher value should insure their entries individually. In this case, please attach a copy of the insurance certificate to the entry form. |

| How to enter: Please send the following for each entry along with the completed entry form to the address below. Do NOT send quilt at this time. 1) One full view photograph 2) One close-up photograph to include quilting details (Printouts from digital cameras are acceptable) Write your name, title of the entry, entry category, and an arrow indicating the top on the back of each photograph. |

| Announcement of results : Winners will be informed, and winners and winning works will be announced in newspapers and URL www.ncvb.or.jp, in the early April, 2005. Prize winning works will be displayed at the World Quilt Carnival Nagoya, Japan on May 20-22, 2005. Please understand that submissions other than the above prize-winning works may be exhibited at the venue. |
